Dear Carol,

VanderVeen Photographers

Everyone that John and I have heard from since our wedding has commented that our ceremony was one of the most beautiful and flawless ceremonies they have ever seen. We believe we owe so much of that to you and all of the hard work you did for us behind the scenes from the beginning.

Not only did you help us find a florist when so many were unwilling to do our Mother’s Day weekend wedding; but that florist turned out to be the most perfect and wonderful florist – a true artist whose bouquets received many compliments weeks after the wedding. And the florist was just the beginning!

The wedding checklist you provided for us based on our own wedding date was priceless. It kept us on track when we thought we’d never remember everything we needed to get done. Also, meeting with you at both the ceremony and reception sites helped us visualize how things were going to flow on the day of our wedding. You had us think about things that would not have occurred to us on our own – things that could have been wedding day mishaps, especially since our ceremony and reception were at different locations.

The wedding rehearsal was fun and well organized. We had a lot of musicians (10 plus a choir) and many of them commented on how much they loved your ceremony timeline; and that for other weddings they had done before ours they had not gotten a timeline at all. John, himself, being a church musician has never received a timeline like that before at the countless weddings he’s done in the past 20 years. And then you even found someone to translate that timeline into Spanish for my aunt and uncle from Argentina. I know it helped them feel more included and less anxious about their part in the ceremony. Once the rehearsal began, I was able to turn things completely over to you and trust that all would go smoothly from then until we left the reception the next day and it did.

Thank you for telling us about the Jewish tradition to spend time alone together after the ceremony while the church was emptying. The ten minutes we spent in the chapel together stands out as one of the most special moments from our wedding day. We had the photographer come in right at the very end and those photographs turned out to be some of our favorites.

Thank you, Carol, for knowing when to call me before I knew I needed to call you. You kept me on track when I started to get overwhelmed. Thank you for lending a supportive ear when things got stressful with family and decision making. I am so glad that I made the decision to hire a wedding coordinator, even when so many members of my family thought it wasn’t necessary. Your presence at our wedding was both a calming one and a blessing. We were able to focus on each other and our friends and family without having to worry about anything.

Sincerely,

Heidi and John Cary
